Diverse Learning Environments

Nursery
6weeks - 2 years
During these early years, it is important to love, care for, nurture and guide our children. Creating environments where children feel safe and secure. Working together with families, our educators will ensure babies have continuity of care, develop confidence and learn self-help skills through exploration and play.
Children will engage in outdoor play, musical activities, literacy, painting, sensory play, construction, balancing and coordination skills. Babies will develop social skills, learn to feed themselves either by holding a bottle or using a spoon with meals.

Toddlers
2 years - 3 years
During this stage of development, it is important for children to establish and maintain strong relationships with their peers and educators. Children develop communication skills, social skills, gross and fine motor development and self-help skills. Toddlers develop these skills through a variety of activities such as
dress-ups, group stories, songs and music times, flashcards, outdoor play on bikes, sandpit, sensory play, creative art activities and many more. It is important for strong relationships to be established to support the holistic development of each individual child.

3 year old Kinder
Your child is now a pre-schooler, who is fascinated by the world around them. Children can speak in longer sentences and will start asking lots of 'who', 'what', 'where' and 'why' questions as they try to understand more about the world. Children will enjoy socialising with peers through play, learning rules and routines, fairness with taking turns, emotional regulation and the importance of health and hygiene practices. Children will learn through exploration and play activities. Partaking in outdoor play experiences that promote positive risk taking and problem solving, indoor activities that challenge cognitive development and allow children to be creative and inventive.

Our Kindergarten Room provides opportunities for children to continue developing their self-confidence, self-esteem, independence, problem-solving skills and social skills through spontaneous or intentional teaching experiences.
The Government Funded Kindergarten Program enables children to explore letters and numbers through one-on-one sessions with the Kindergarten Teacher completing Reading Eggs ICT program,
play-based group learning experiences, and developing a range of skills and understanding to successfully transition into Primary School.
